I remember this whole incident really well. The biggest thing I took away from it at the time that stays with me today was not Jewell finding the backpack. It was a couple days later when CNN was telling me the FBI said he was the bomber. I was like oh. Okay. Well the media is telling me how weird this guy. I guess that automatically means he tried to horrifically kill hundreds of people. But he never went to prison. As the days wore on I was like why is he still free if the media is telling me he's a killer. Then he was exonerated because there was NEVER one shred of evidence against him other than he was very passionate about keeping people safe; Albeit a little slow in some ways. At that point I realized the American media was more dangerous that AIDS. Another horseshit media concoction that tried to scare every teenager in the 1990's from having sex.

Man this looks so interesting. Everything about this film is outstanding... I remember the event vividly, watching it on television when it happened. The actor playing Richard Jewell has his look and mannerisms down perfectly. He did an outstanding job. What the media did to him was horrible. He was paraded in front of the news cameras relentlessly, accused as the perpetrator of the bombing. The news media was atrocious back then, even worse today. This is utter crap. Get a life. Clint Eastwood's movie Richard Jewell was incredible, cast & history. Imagine just sitting there watching the tv and you see your self on the crime list. The reason Mr Eastwood made this film was to hold up a mirror to our society today and show us the beginning of the “fake news” that has taken over the MSM. The MSM has its fingerprints all over the public assassination of a gentile man who wanted nothing more than serve his community in any capacity. The media wanted him to be the lone, white, male perpetrator of this crime and pushed that narrative to convict Mr Jewel in the court of public opinion. This has now become commonplace in our daily news. push the narrative. not the truth. I hope Richard Jewel can Rest In Peace now.
